... that Pantone, Inc is the global authority on colour. They provide a standardised colour matching system so that different manufacturers in different locations can all reference this numbered colour system, thus ensuring that colours match without direct contact with one another.
Since 2000 they have been selecting a Colour of the Year. To arrive at this their colour experts search the world looking for colour influences and social trends which best define the global zeitgeist (the spirit of the time) and then capture them in a shade, which will become part of the 'fabrics of our lives'.
2016's Colour of the Year are two carefully selected tonalities - ▪Serenity and ▪Rose Quartz. This selection was to be an antidote to our hectic and stressful modern-day lives... a warm pink balanced with a cooler tranquil blue - providing us with a soothing sense of calm and peace.
