Obadiah's pattern will enable you to create this 5-way jointed, traditional style Steiff-Schulte mohair bear, designed with a split gusset, thereby creating a centre head seam. Included with the pattern are step-by-step instructions and a photo.

Basic sewing skills and some bearmaking skills required.
Size
30 cm
Obadiah requires the following if you wish to make him:
Fabric
Straight, dense (teddy colour) 18mm pile Steiff-Schulte mohair - sized 50 cm x 42 cm.
Ultrasuede or Felt for paw/foot pads – sized 19 cm x 7.5 cm.
Eyes
One pair 8 mm or 9mm black or brown glass eyes with loops
Joints
6 x size 30 mm joint discs for the head, arms.
4 x size 45mm joint discs for the legs.
Hardware
4 x Slot-head screws, 4 x Lock-nuts and 8 x Washers for limb connections.
1 x Cotter pin and 2 x washers for head and body connection.
Thread
4 metres #8 or #5 Black Perle embroidery thread to embroider his nose, mouth and claws on paws and footpads.
Notes
Hollofibre filling is not included in the pattern.
Glass beads/plastic pellets, are optional, to add weight.
Obadiah is a collectable bear and not suitable for young children due to small parts.
