Gus 18cm Mohair 5-Way Jointed Golly Pattern

Gus' pattern will enable you to make this 5-way jointed, traditional, mohair golly. Best friend to Edward of the Toybox & Teddies Range.

Basic sewing and bearmaking experience required for hand stitching.

Gus requires the following if you wish to make him:

Fabric

• Short, sparse (black) Schulte mohair for head, upper body & arms - sized 25 cm x 20 cm.
• Short, sparse (blue) Schulte mohair for lower body & legs - sized 17 cm x 17 cm.
• Long pile (black) Schulte mohair for hair – sized 20 cm x 5 cm.
• Ultrasuede (black) for paws and footpads - sized 7 cm x 7 cm.
• Ultrasuede (two scraps of contrasting colour) for braces - sized 15 cm x 7 mm.
• Coloured cotton print for bow tie - sized 7 cm x 9 cm.
• Coloured cotton print for bow tie 'knot' - sized 5 cm x 3 cm.
• Wool felt (scrap of red) for mouth - sized 2.5 cm x 3 cm.

Eyes

Joints

• 2 x size 20 mm fibre discs for the head to body connection.
• 8 x size 17 mm fibre discs for the arms & legs to body connection.

Hardware

• 5 x Cotter or T-pins.

Thread

• 1.5 metres #5 black Perle embroidery thread for nose & mouth.

Trim

• 4 x small coloured buttons to secure braces.
• Black hat elastic to secure bow tie around neck – sized 15 cm.

Notes

• Coloured fabrics may differ from those seen in the image.
• Hollofibre filling is not included in the pattern.
• Gus the Golly is a collectable bear and not suitable for young children due to small parts.
